Well hello there….
Well, I’ve had this WordPress blog for months. I didn’t really use it because as I looked around at my fellow CFAN bloggers WordPress blogs, I felt a bit intimidated because I don’t really have eloquent & formal thoughts and ideas to share, I don’t think. Then it struck me the other day that maybe I do have something consistent to contribute. It might not be eloquent, but it’s me.
I don’t know, we’ll see how it goes.
What’s been going on in my life lately…
1. We had an awesome creative team meeting Wednesday night! I left there that night PUMPED! I think changing the location helped quite a bit. It was a pretty relaxed, laid back atmosphere that seemed to help get us into a different frame of mind. It has taken awhile to get a smooth flow, and while we still have a little ways to go, but we’ve come a long way and we work well together. The team brainstormed ideas for the next couple sermons…we were talking, we were laughing, we were playing ghetto charades, and we got quite a bit accomplished in a cute little coffee shop that was obviously sent by God 
If you’re interested, we do have a couple openings on the team. Right now, we are alternating between Monday & Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:30 twice a month. If you want to know more about it, let me know, I’m your gal!
2. Did I mention that I was the only one at the creative team meeting without a laptop?? Something’s just not right there….
3. Our source group on Friday nights is so much fun! There’s always so much food, it looks like we’re feeding an army! The adults look forward to getting together, the kids look forward to getting together, and it’s just an all-around GREAT time.
4. Pastor Michael rocks! The time, effort and dedication he puts into pouring into each and every one of his leaders is incredible! I have learned so much from him and seen God work through him in so many ways, it’s amazing! It’s flat-out crazy when I think about it. I don’t know how he does it, but I’m thankful that he does!
5. Emergent…pffffft! I demand a recount.
6. Time flies when you have kids! My son is 11 years old and just finishing up his last year of elementary school. He’s growing up so fast. As a mother, that’s hard for me to deal with. Middle School already? I don’t know if I’m ready for that! I should still be squishing cuddly babies!
7. I’m frustrated not being able to get a job closer to home. An internal move shouldn’t be that hard, right? I’ve tried numerous times and have even gotten as far as recently being offered a job, then they changed the hours on me, so I had to turn it down. It’s very frustrating, but God must be keeping me here for a reason. I have to keep reminding myself of that.
8. Office Space……”I’m just not gonna go anymore….” hilarious!!
9. We’ve had & been to cookouts every weekend for the past month! We love people, what can we say!
10. My husband & I are going to Las Vegas for a week in June. We are very excited to be getting away since we didn’t get to go on a honeymoon and rarely get the chance to relax & get away. This will be Kevin’s FIRST time on a plane, and the first time to Vegas for both of us. We just wanna see stuff! The trip is courtesy of my father & stepmother. Yep, leave it up to my family to have a reunion in sin city! lol
