This blog REALLY knocked me for a loop. It’s something that’s been on my mind quite a lot these last few months. Not only because many of you need to hear it, but I do as well.
What is failure? What is it to you? Is it trying and not succeeding?
To me, true failure is not bothering to try at all. Especially when you know it’s what God wants you to do. Why do we not try? I’ll tell you why: fear.
2 Timothy 1:7 tells us:
for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Do you see what that says?? God did not give us a spirit of fear!
So what if it doesn’t work out? Nothing is going to happen that He doesn’t already know about! Maybe the blessing will come in the experience; in trying. How will you ever know if you don’t try?
Take a moment and be honest with yourself. Are you afraid of failure? Or are you afraid of success? Do you really want to waste the precious life God gave you being afraid to do what He has called you to do?
In Isaiah 41:10:
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
I don’t know about you, but I’m through being afraid of failure! There are people out there that need me, and they need you! God has called us to do great things! He has given us authority! We need to stand tall and walk in all that He has given us!
It’s about obedience. It’s about putting your trust in GOD.
What are YOU afraid of?
